Play by day, glow by night Friday-Sunday starting September 22 through October 28. During the Pumpkin Festival, enjoy park attractions, fun-filled games, live shows and more. Events Start at 10:30 AM with Glow by Night events going on from dusk to 9 PM. New in 2018, these family-friendly nighttime experience features thousands of carved jack-o-lanterns lighting up each night. Other events include the Dance-A-Long Party Parade, pie eating contests, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, flashlight tours of Dinosaur Explore, a dance party, and more.

Explore the Atlanta Chili Cook Off and enjoy tasting chili and Brunswick stew from 75+ restaurant and amateur competition teams. A portion of the proceeds benefit Atlanta Fundraising Foundation and Brookhaven Park Conservancy. There will be $2,500 in prizes and awards for the top amateur teams, restaruant teams, most spirited team, and people’s choice. Come win bragging rights, plaques, medals, prizes, and more! This event is family friendly and pet friendly with a Kidzone, live music, and many other activities.

For 46 years, Stone Mountain Park meadow has resounded with the sound of bagpipes, fiddles, and harps during the third weekend in October. During the Stone Mountain Highland Games, enjoy Highland athletic events, Highland dancing, piping and drumming, and Scottish harping. You can also participate in Scottish Country demonstrations, Kirking of the Tartans, Clan Challenge Athletics events, and the Parade of Tartans. There is also an opportunity for you to see Clan and Tartan info tents as well as many colorful Scottish shops.

The Chastain Park Arts Festival is organized by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and local artists. Named as one of the Nation’s Top 100 (67) Arts Festival Nationwide by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the 9th annual festival of fine arts and crafts in Chastain Park features a children’s area, gourmet food trucks, and local acoustic musicians.
