How to Prepare Your Vehicle for Fall with Acura Carland

With so much going on it can be easy to overlook the challenges that the changing weather can present for your vehicle. Acura Carland wants to help you keep your vehicle operating at its best. With a few simple steps you can be sure your vehicle is as ready for fall as you are.

Making sure to take great care of your vehicle, especially during major changes in the seasons, can help your car last long and be more reliable. Some major items to keep an eye on as we transition into fall are:

1. Give your vehicle a good wash or detail. This will make it easier to spot signs of trouble.

2. Fix any scratches you see as not doing so can result in rust and become a major problem down the road.

3. Check all belts and hoses and replace any items that are worn.

4. Check your antifreeze levels as this regulates your engine’s temperature and ensures it runs properly as the temperature becomes colder.

5. Check your brakes and tire conditions to ensure you have great stopping power when you need it.

6. Check your heater and defroster to ensure both are functioning properly.

7. Make sure all of your lights are working properly and are clean enough to still function to their full potential.

8. Inspect your wiper blades to ensure the rubber is flexible. Cracked or worn blades will not properly clear the windshield.

9. Inspect your air filter to ensure that it’s clear enough to allow for proper operation. If you can’t see light through the filter when holding it up to a 60-watt bulb, the filter needs to be replaced.
