There are opportunities for treats, adventures, and fun around every corner at these events going on this October.
Georgia A-Scary-Um at the Georgia Aquarium

Head over to the Georgia Aquarium every weekend through October 31 to enjoy the Graveyard Smash: A Monstrous Spook-tacular, happening Saturdays from 12:30 PM-2 PM and Sundays 12:30 PM-2:30 PM. This event provides an opportunity to party with Dracula, Frankenstein, Igor, and other chilling friends. It is perfect for families and allows you to sing and dance to 70s and 80s hits!
Additionally, on Saturday, October 28, there will be trick-or-treating from 11 AM-3 PM. The Georgia Aquarium provides a safe environment for the whole family to enjoy costumes and trick-or-treat alongside amazing sea creatures. There will be trick-or-treat stations in each gallery, Halloween crafts, and photo stations. Kids should be in costume and adults are invited to dress up as well. The Georgia Aquarium asks that adults wear no masks covering faces.

Goblins in the Garden is going on at the Atlanta Botanical Garden October 22 from 10 AM-4 PM. Visitors will have the opportunity to show off their Halloween costumes on the Goblin Runway, ride a pony, participate in fall-themed crafts, listen to a storyteller, or catch a ride on a train. You can also explore Scarecrows in the Garden. This garden is packed with more than 100 wacky creations. Head over for a day of fun and excitement the whole family can enjoy!

Head over to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History Saturday, October 28 from 10 AM-2 PM for a day of fun Halloween-themed activities. Costumes are encouraged as there will be a BOO-seum Costume Contest. In addition, there will be fun Halloween treats, including candy and small toys and spooky and science-y ghoulish games to win treats. You can check out the mystery boxes to feel around for creepy items including “spider legs”, “dragon skin”, “monster guts”, and “vampire brains”. There are also opportunities to watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown at 11 AM, 12 PM, and 1 PM.

Boo at the Zoo is going on October 21, 22, 28, and 29 from 9:30 AM-3 PM. This Halloween festival offers family fun such as the opportunity to sample treats throughout the zoo and to enjoy the sights and characters with more than 1,000 animals from around the world. On Saturday, October 21, you can meet a real-life pirate from the Atlanta Pirates Guild, then on Sunday you can see artist Lundy Cupp bring pumpkins to life through expert carving. In Zoo Boo Town, adventure awaits with Atlanta’s favorite Stormtroopers and Star Wars characters as well as an opportunity to catch the Candy Thief while riding the Boo Train.
